Shalom Friends and welcome to Yeshua HaMashiach Messianic Congregation (YMMC) located in beautiful Mesa, Arizona. Our name itself is foundational to our core belief that Yeshua (Jesus) is HaMashiach (the Messiah) foretold of in the scriptures.
We hope that you can drop by for a visit in our morning Shabbat (Sabbath) service. All are welcome, and we make no requirements that you be Jewish, nor dress in any certain attire to attend. All those, both Jew and Gentile, with a heart for Israel and the Jewish people, will find that they are fellow-shipping with like-minded people while visiting our congregation. We are a “Covenant Community” that is dedicated to winning souls, making disciples, and raising-up Leaders. We are real people who share our lives, our needs, our struggles. Thus, we lift and build one another through the power of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) and His Kingdom. Our Messianic Congregation is marked by a distinct unity that manifests through the peaceful gathering of Jews and Gentiles worshiping Yeshua as the “One New Man” described in Ephesian 2:15, but yet we remain in respect of the irrevocable call given to Jews to maintain their Jewish heritage, identity and lifestyle. We are also aware that some Gentiles are called to participate in the Jewish lifestyle and win Jews to Yeshua (Jesus), while other Gentiles are just wanting to learn more about Jewish cultures and practices, but without changing their Christian concepts and cultures and liturgies.
We have visitors and faithful members from the following cities: Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye, Casa Grande, Chandler, Florence, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Glendale, Maricopa, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Prescott, Queen Creek, Gold Canyon, San-Tan Valley, Scottsdale, Surprise, Tempe, and Tucson. Our Messianic Congregation serves as a bridge of unity between Jews and Gentiles, and we are often referred to as the “Twin Churches”. Our sister Congregation, Life’s Destiny Church, is a distinctly separate body of believers that are unified in purpose to learn/incorporate teachings of the Jewish Roots founded in their Christian faith.
Our Statement of Faith
Our Jewish-born leader, Dr. William Hepfner, grew up being referred to as “Little Moses.” This Nickname was the result of having been left on a Christian family’s doorstep, in a wicker basket at the age of 3 months (just like Moses was left in a wicker basket and put in the bulrushes of the River at the age of 3 months). Within the following year, the family adopted him.
Dr. Hepfner’s Ministry HIstory can be found on the “Leadership” page.
Through Dr. Hepfner’s leadership, YMMC became recognized as Member Church of the IPHC organization in 2006. By 2008, after a courtship period with the infamous and mainline organization, Tikkun International, YMMC was also received as a respected mainstream messianic ministry, and voted to become a Member Congregation on the Tikkun America Team of Messianic Congregations.
YMMC therefore respectfully supports Tikkun International’s committment to fully embrace the reality and significance of the equipping gifts of the fivefold ministry listed in Ephesians 4:11 – apostle (shaliach), prophet (navi), evangelist (m’baser), pastor (ro’eh), and teacher (moreh). As part of its Holy Spirit emphasis, Tikkun believes that the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are essential, especially in these troubled times, for helping believers to build one another up. This includes, not only the gifts that are more clearly supernatural such as prophecy, tongues, interpretation, and the working of miracles, but also those anointing’s that are less spectacular such as teaching, exhorting, helps, and administration.
